About The Author

Born June 13th 1957 to Rev William and Amanda (Thompkins) Wright. The seventh of nine children. Father of two. (One son, one daughter, two grandsons, two granddaughters, a great grandson, and great granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews and other young men he has mentored to which he is known as Uncle Wright or Grandpa. He attended Cupples Elementary School in St. Louis Mo. and Hoover Jr. High and Skyline High (class of 75) in Oakland California. Attended St. Louis University (A.A in Psychology) Peralta Colleges (Certificate in Nursing/ Certificate in Special Education) and Almeda College (BA in Human Resources) .

London Wright lives in Stockton, CA and spent 12 years working as an educator for Oakland Unified School District and 32 years as a Juvenile Institutional Officer III (retired) Alameda Co. Probation, Camp Wilmont Sweeney in San Leandro ,Ca He was an Army Medic ( USAR US Army Reserve Unit352 Evac Hosp) from 1980-1986) Yard supervisor, teacher’s aide, Recreation Leader, Substitute Teacher for Oakland Public Schools ( Oakland Unified School District Stonehurst Elementary) CA-September 1975 to June 1987. Served six years as a deacon at Allen Temple Baptist Church where he founded the Boys Rites of Passage program (BROP mentoring young men ages 10 to 17 years old ) and the Young Men Excelling Now program (YMEN mentoring young men ages 18 to 30) Currently he is in Allen Temple Institute Ministers in training program. His passion for working with young men stems from the loss of his younger brother who died in the streets of Oakland at age fifteen years old.

Reason for writing the book.

Being an educator for twelve years and a juvenile probation counselor for thirty two years o have witnessed many incidents of bullying. I am hoping this book is read by teens and young adults and that it points out to them the ill will of bullying and the humanity of the person who is being bullied.

Epilogue KAYLA’S SURPRISE

First, the crowd was in a big uproar. There then came a sudden hush.JJ was so intrigued in getting the knot out of the rope he did not notice the person that came up behind him. A hand came from behind him and landed on his shoulder. JJ shrugged the hand off of his shoulder without looking behind him. Again the hand came on his shoulder.

“No. Enough is enough.” JJ said in response to the hand on his shoulder. The hand patted him on the shoulder again.

“I’m not trying to hear you.” JJ responded as he continued to work on the knot in the rope. This time the person behind him turned him around. To his surprise, he was now facing Mr. Jackson. He took a big swallow. It felt like his heart fell down to his feet
